The Technology

A new heart.
Not a new vehicle.

The most expensive part of going electric is the motorcycle itself. We solve that by working with the one the rider already owns, replacing the petrol engine with a high-performance electric drivetrain at a fraction of the cost of buying new.

The Conversion

From petrol to electric in the same day.

Step 01
Rider brings in their motorcycle

Any Bajaj Boxer BM150 or compatible East African frame. No new purchase required. No waiting list. The rider keeps full ownership of their motorcycle throughout the entire process.

Step 02
Kinetiq installs the drivetrain kit

We remove the petrol engine, exhaust, and fuel tank. A brushless motor, controller, BMS, and IoT module take their place. Completed in the same day.

Step 03
Rider leaves with an electric vehicle

Same motorcycle. New drivetrain. From this point, the rider saves up to 70% on fuel costs every single day, without having spent a small fortune on a new bike to get there.

The Kit

Built for the roads riders already know.

Mid-drive motor
Motor controller
Battery management system (BMS)
IoT telematics module
Structural integration hardware and wiring

The battery is not in this kit.It is not the rider's to own. It is Kinetiq's to manage, charge, and circulate.

The Energy Model

Kinetiq does not sell batteries.
It sells access to energy.

Step 01
Convert

The rider's motorcycle is converted using the Kinetiq drivetrain kit. A Kinetiq-owned battery is installed and ready to go. The rider pays for the conversion not the battery. The battery never belongs to them, and that is the point.

Conversion generates the first transaction
Step 02
Swap

When the battery runs low, the rider pulls into a swap station and exchanges it for a fully charged unit in under three minutes. No long charging wait. No range anxiety. They pay for the swap. The battery stays with Kinetiq.

Swapping generates the ongoing relationship
Step 03
Scale

Every swap is a data point. Every trip is a record. As the network grows — more stations, more batteries, more cities — the IoT data informing it becomes increasingly valuable to the riders who need credit and the institutions ready to offer it.

Data generates the long-term infrastructure advantage
<1 day
Total conversion time, a rider can drop off their motorcycle in the morning and collect an electric vehicle the same day
<3min
Time to swap a depleted battery for a fully charged one, faster than stopping at a petrol station
20+
Moving parts in a Kinetiq electric drivetrain, compared to over 200 in a petrol engine. Fewer parts means lower maintenance costs

See the numbers for yourself.

Run the numbers on what a converted motorcycle saves on fuel costs every year, and what that means at the end of every day.
